Kate Muir is a women’s health campaigner, writer and documentary maker. Her book How to Have a Magnificent Midlife Crisis is out in 2025. Her previous books Everything You Need to Know About the Menopause and Everything You Need to Know About the Pill are out in paperback. Kate pitched and produced three groundbreaking menopause and pill documentaries with Davina McCall for Channel 4. Her novels are West Coast, Left Bank and Suffragette City, and her non-fiction books include Arms and the Woman about female soldiers going into combat. She was previously Chief Film Critic of The Times, and has worked as a correspondent for the paper in New York, Paris and Washington. She grew up in Glasgow and now lives in London.
